SJHS Music News:

SJHS Music Department took 4 ensembles to the MSBOA District 6 Band and Orchestra Festival. All

four groups earned Division 1 ratings and qualified for the State Band and Orchestra festival. Not only

did they earn the highest ratings, but each group earned top ratings from every judge - a huge

accomplishment. SJHS also had the only Full Symphony Orchestra perform at the festival. Please join

us in congratulating these talented young musicians.

National History Day 3/12 Competition

Partiv Menthem and Sahiti Midithuri participated in the National History Day District 6 competition on

Saturday with independent websites, with Sahiti moving on to NHD State competition in April!  This

year's NHD theme was Debate and Diplomacy in History.

SJPS was well represented by these young people, and we wish Sahiti good luck at State!

Upton 7th grader Sam Church also participated with his paper on Steroids in Baseball.

Just wanted to give them a shout out for a job well done!
