SJHS Blog News from Guidance Department: Foundation Grants: 2017 SJPS Foundation scholarship applications are now online.  $45,000 in scholarships for SJHS Class of 2017 grads!    http://www.stjosephpublicschoolsfoundation.org/Scholarships.html Girls Swim State Results: Congratulations to the girls swim & dive team for their 20 th place finish the past weekend at the D3 state meet. Lindsay Marohn had a 9th place finish in the 100 backstroke.  Her time of: 58.84 broke the varsity record.  Marohn also placed 10th in the 200 freestyle. The 400 freestyle relay team of Nadia Judge, CiCi Strickler, Emma Schaffer, and Lindsay Marohn finished 16th. Karissa White (100 breaststroke) and Laina Young (diving) also competed at the state meet for the Bears. Great Work Coach Hirn!  HS Blog 11/21 - 11/25 Josten’s Class Rings: A reminder that Josten's representatives will be at school during lunch on Monday, November 21st to deliver class rings. Your ring must be paid in full in order to receive it. No checks can be accepted on the day of delivery, cash or money order only please. If anyone is in need of warranty adjustments to their class ring or would like to order a class ring please see a representative at that time also.  Academic Challenge Team: The Academic Challenge Team won the Holland Invitational over the Nov. 12 th -13 th weekend with a record of 9-0. JV Academic Challenge Team went 7-1 and placed second. If you missed the order day to turn in your cap and gown and other graduation products order form, the deadline has been extended until this Friday, November 18th! You have 3 options to place your order: Turn your order in to Mrs. Koch in the guidance office, place your order online at www.jostens.com or place your order over the phone at 1-800-JOSTENS (567-8367) no later than this Friday. SJHS Blog Key Club News: Key Club participated in the United Way’s Day of Action for Seniors last week on Thursday.  The teams raked leaves for senior citizens on that gorgeous fall day!     Bears of the Month: Once a month, we ask teachers to nominate two senior students who have demonstrated qualities that we feel embody the St. Joseph High School spirit; character, work ethic, kindness, respect, scholarship, and leadership. Our Bears of the Month are: Katie Jo Gruchot and Alec Albee Congratulations!!!
