St. Joseph High School News 4/30/18 - 5/4/18   High School Heroes: This week, we feature Alaina Brady and Steff Segar as our High School Heroes in Issue #25. Issue #25 Thank you for your (20) years of combined service!! Mock Crash Simulation: (Advisory Period – TODAY) Parents, we wanted to make you aware of our final Advisory lesson of the school year, which will take place this afternoon: The Michigan State Police (MSP) Niles Post is working with the Saint Joseph Department of Public Safety and Saint Joseph High School to present a mock drunk/drugged driving crash on April 30 th , 2018 at 1pm. The purpose of the Mock crash is to bring awareness to the dangers of drugged and drunk driving. The crash will simulate a realistic crash and go through the step by step process of what occurs when these crashes occur. Students will get to see first responders arrive at the crash and begin extricating victims, treating patients, investigating the crash, sobrie

  SJHS Blog 4/23 – 4/27  High School Heroes: This week, we spotlight Ryan Walters and Callie Campbell as our  High School Heroes in Issue #24... ISSUE #24 Thank you for your 18 years of combined service to SJHS! Robotics News: The Average Joes robotics (team 3620) will be headed to Detroit on Wednesday  to compete in the FIRST Robotics World Championship. This is the 5th year in a  row that the Joes have qualified to participate. They are looking forward to  competing with and against teams from not only Michigan and the US, but also  the Netherlands, Canada, and others. The Joes will compete with their robot  and attend seminars to help improve not only the team, but also grow STEM  within our school and community.  Follow the team by streaming matches  Thursday through Saturday on The Blue Alliance  ( https://www.thebluealliance.com/ ), Detroit and Archimedes division. St. Joseph High School News 4/16/18 - 4/20/18 High School Heroes: Hi everyone: This week, we feature Gandalf Church and Burke Lokey as our High School Heroes in Issue #23. Issue #23 Thank you for your 23 years of combined service to SJHS! Guest Speakers: School Safety Last Fri. 4/13, Berrien County Prosecutor Mike Sepic and Asst. Prosecutor Steve Pierangeli came to SJHS to address the students on school safety issues and concerns.   Topics covered included; school violence threats, juvenile court vs. adult court systems, student impact on life, and probation terms.   The information shared was very valuable to the students and staff. Prom: This year's prom, Starry Night Gala, will be held Saturday, April 21 , from 7:00-11:00 p.m.   Juniors and seniors are invited to enjoy a night of dancing and carousel rides.
