 St. Joseph High School News 12/19/22 - 12/23/22 Winter Spirit Days:  Key Club:  Key Club hosted our first Divisional of the year last week!  40 Key Club members from South Haven, Lakeshore, Bridgman, and SJ came together to make and decorate cookies for emergency responders. Students took the trays back to their home communities and delivered them to fire stations, police departments, and hospitals.  Special thanks to Clara Berry, our LTG for Division 8 for organizing this event!  Baking Club:  The Baking Club made peppermint fudge for their December meeting! Thanks chairs, Ashley Penner and Laynie Nolte for organizing!   All State Honors Orchestra: The results are in!  Congratulations to two members of the SJHS orchestra who made it into this year’s All State Honors Orchestra.  Nearly 2700 musicians from the state auditioned in October for a position and these are the only two students that made it from district 6.   The All State Honors Orchestra will perform on January 21, 2023 at

 St. Joseph High School News 12/12/22 - 12/16/22 Spirit Week:  Therapy Dogs at SJHS! Therapy dogs stopped by SJHS last week and were a huge hit with the students and staff!  Janet Cooper, certified handler from Pet Partners, with her labs, Ahvee and Journey and the little corgi Keweenaw (Kewe) from Best Friends 4-H. Class of 2027 - Current 8th Graders CLASS OF 2027 SAVE THE DATE :  Informational Scheduling Meeting for current 8th Grade Students & their Parents  who plan to attend St. Joseph High School Fall 2023 Monday, February 6, 2023  6:00pm @ John & Dede Howard Auditorium at St. Joseph High School You will receive 2023-24 scheduling materials, learn about the high school scheduling process, meet department representatives and tour the school.  This is a very important informational meeting and encourage all 8th grade students AND their parents to attend!  St. Joseph High School News 12/5/22- 12/9/22 Bears of the Month:  December Bears of the Month! Congratulations to Jerry Capaccio & Alana Voglewede for being recognized as our December Bears of the Month at SJHS! Congratulations to Dr. Culver and Mrs. Becker:  Thanks to a generous SJPS Foundation grant, Tracy Becker and Jamie Culver had the opportunity to present at the National Council of Teachers of English 2022 Annual Convention Thursday, November 17th in Anaheim, CA.   Media Center News:  We believe that a love of books and learning is a strong foundation for student success and we are working to provide every student access to books that they want to read.   By completing the form linked here , parents will restrict the level of access their teenager has when choosing a library book from the SJHS Media Center.  To clarify, this form is only required when a parent would like to restrict their teenager’s access to library books.
