Meet Your Athletic Trainer: Matt Mabry

Hello St. Joe Parents,
With the start of the winter sports season, we would like to make you aware of the athletic training services provided by Lakeland Health during St. Joseph Public School’s practices and games. Athletic trainers are skilled at assessing common sports injuries. Depending on the nature of the injury, they are able to refer students to their primary care physicians or a specialist if needed. Athletic trainers also have regular training room hours and can rehabilitate and prevent injuries through taping, bracing, and conditioning.
Matt Mabry is the athletic trainer for St. Joseph Public School system. Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Central Michigan University. He has been certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 1996 and is licensed in the state of Michigan. He is also board-certified in functional movement screening and a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
If you have questions or concerns throughout the season, or would like to know the next time Matt will be at the school, you can email him directly at mmabry@lakelandhealth.org, call Lakeland Orthopedic Physical Therapy at (269) 556-7150, or contact St. Joseph’s athletic director.

Sincerely,
Lakeland Orthopedic Physical Therapy
