SJHS Blog Hospitality Class News: What a lucky group of Hospitality students today...Anne Reitz, owner of Caffe Tosi came to speak with the class about coffee and tea. Not only did we learn a ton about the history and types of coffee and tea, Anne gifted the students with mugs, coffee tokens, and chocolate covered coffee beans. The tea tasting was amazing too. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful industry partnership with Caffe Tosi! Model UN News: St. Joe sent 12 students to the Model United Nations Conference at Indiana University.  The Model UN team won Best Position Paper for the United Nations Refugee Agency by Charvi Chhatwal and World Health Organization by Haley Rich.  St. Joe won 1/3 of the possible awards for position papers. SJHS Blog Guidance Office News: ·       Seniors:  Reminder the SJPS Foundation Scholarships are due this Monday, February 27th by 3pm (no exceptions to deadline). 
Please turn in completed applications to Guidance Office. SJHS Blog 2/13 - 2/17/17 Counseling Dept. News: FAFSA Deadline Approaching:  March 1, 2017 As a reminder, priority consideration for State programs is given to students whose Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is received at the federal processor on or before March 1, 2017. High school seniors who achieved a SAT score of 1200 or higher are eligible for consideration for the  Michigan Competitive Scholarship  (MCS).  Additional criteria for eligibility, such as demonstrating financial need at a Michigan institution, will be evaluated based on a completed FAFSA. MiSSG portal  users may use the ACT/SAT Search tool to view high school seniors who took the SAT. If a Social Security number (SSN) is not listed, the user may update each students’ record and report their SSN. Our office needs the SSN to match the FAFSA results to see if the student meets the qualifying need component to be considered for the MCS.   The SSN may be reported any time
