St. Joseph High School News 2/24/20 - 2/28/20 March is Reading Month:  Student Senate: Staff vs. Student Volleyball Game  Wednesday, February 26th at 7pm in the Competition Gym **free admission - come out and watch!** Staff Team: Mr. Guzzo, Mr. Luckritz, Mr. Uren, Mr. Rothrock, Mrs. Britton, Mrs. Smothers, Mrs. Froelich, and Mrs. Greissinger  vs. Student Team: Aubrey White-Day, Avery Burnette, Kyle Clark, Declan Finnigan, Briggs Mosher, Karenna Sohn, Casey Miller, Anne Marie Nuter, Kate Gersonde, and Lucas Atherton Business Bites: Business Bites: Thank you Dr. Rob Nolan for presenting at our Business Bites lunch Thursday 2/20/20.  Dr. Nolan is a practicing ER doctor, director of quality, and CMIO at Lakeland Health/Spectrum.  He gave a wonderful presentation on a 'day in the life' of various medical professionals, answering questions about education, duties, lifestyle, etc... What a great learning experience for our students.

St. Joseph High School News 2/17/20 - 2/21/20 Note from Supt. Dr. Bruce:  Dear Parents, While we are noticing more students going home sick, our absentee numbers are not out of the ordinary for this time of year. Our current districtwide attendance rate is above 90%. The state of Michigan does not recognize an illness issue until the district attendance average is below 75%.   To enhance our efforts against illness, principals and teachers will continue to ask students to clean their hands each time they enter class, go to lunch, and use the restroom.  Moreover, our custodial team will collaborate with principals and staff to pinpoint areas of the district that have increased illness. St. Joseph Public Schools will continue to keep our families aware of our status as we journey through flu season.  Most important for our families; please remember to keep students home for 24 hours after a high temperature returns to normal or vomiting has discontinued. St. Joseph High School News 2/10/20 - 2/14/20 Scheduling Deadlines for Next Year: Parents/Guardians – On Friday your student attended a class meeting to learn about scheduling for the 2020-21 s chool year.  Take some time to discuss the Course Selection Form options with your student. Please be mindful of the courses they select and refer to our Course Description Book for further information.  DEADLINES : FEB 7 – 11 (by 3pm) – HONOR/AP CLASS SIGN-UP ONLINE (only if NOT in a current Honors/AP class within that subject area).  Students can find links on itsLearning.
