SJHS Blog 10/30/17 - 11/3/17  United Way Fundraiser @ SJHS! Last week, our students had some fun during lunch raising funds for United Way. Students made donations for a chance to pie our administrators in the face. Fun was had by all! St. Joseph High School Blog 10/23/17 - 10/27/17 Student News: Please congratulate Brooke Russell who won 2nd place at Michigan State University's prestigious  Richard Benvenuto High School Poetry Competition.  Brooke will read her poem, "Foresaken Words" on October 31 at the Residential College's Fall Writing Series on the MSU campus. Her poem will also be published on the Benvenuto Contest website. We'll give the link when her poem and photo are added to their page.  Guidance Office News: SJHS counseling department will be offering a free FAFSA completion session for seniors and their parents.   Financial aid experts from Lake Michigan College will be available to help with FAFSA completion. The session will be offered on  Monday, October 23 from 5:30-7:30pm  in the media center computer lab.   Contact the counseling office to sign up, (269) 926-3210. SJHS Blog 10/16/17 - 10/20/17  SJHS Students Participate in ArtsBridge Poetry Reading Sophomores Emma Inman, Madeline Machado, and Eileen Spiegel read their original work at the ArtsBridge poetry reading, a public event held at First Presbyterian Church in Benton Harbor. They wowed the crowd with their insightful words and poised presentation. St. Joseph High School Blog 10/9/17 - 10/13/17 Homecoming Week Wrap-up! Students and staff showed their spirit during homecoming last week! On Tuesday night, the Seniors and Freshman defeated the Juniors and Sophomores in an exciting game of Powder Puff Football. On Friday, our homecoming Royalty was crowned. Congratulations to our staff King and Queen – Mr. Etter and Mrs. Sheppard. Ryan Haynes was crowned 2017 Homecoming King during Friday’s Pep Assembly. At halftime of Friday’s football game Breonna Tate was crowned Homecoming Queen. Saturday night, over 200 students attended the semi-formal homecoming dance! Student Senate thanks everyone for their participation and is looking forward to Winterfest Spirit Week already!
