Bears of the Month:

March Bears of the Month!

Congratulations to Emily Watson & Anna Weber for being recognized as our March Bears of the Month at SJHS!

Guest Author Coming to SJHS:

Author Visit in March

In honor of National Reading Month, SJHS students and staff will hear from author Marc Tyler Nobleman at an assembly on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.  A self-described “author of books for all ages, speaker, and pop culture archaeologist,” Marc Tyler Nobleman will share his research journey into the little-known world of Bill Finger, the creator of Batman.  His presentation centers around the power of reading and research, and he empowers students to be brave and ask tough questions.  We are excited to have Mr. Nobleman speak to our students, and we hope staff and students enjoy his meaningful message. Many thanks to the SJPS Foundation and Michigan Humanities for providing the grant funds for this author visit!

(Note: Mr. Nobleman suggests that our staff and students not research Bill Finger prior to the assembly in order to avoid spoilers.)

Here is the February edition of The Average Report

Our FRC team Average Joes has been working hard these past 7 weeks to make an amazing robot. We also had some fun opportunities that we were able to participate in like Fire Extinguisher training and a movie night.

Next weekend (March 10-12) we will have our District Event at the Fieldhouse! We encourage you all to come and watch what our Joes have accomplished. If you have any questions regarding the specifics, please feel free to reach out to me.
