Save A Life Tour
(Distracted Driving):
On
Thursday, January 11, the “International Save a Life Tour” visited SJHS to
share resources related to safe driving. There was a school-wide
assembly and then students had the opportunity to drive simulators related to
distracted driving scenarios. We feel like the event was successful
in helping our students reflect on the right decisions while behind the wheel.
January Bears of the Month:
Congratulations
to our January Bears of the Month – Charvi Chhatwal and Donovan Cool!
These outstanding students were selected by SJHS staff based on their
character, leadership, academics, and citizenship!
Safety Concern: (Parents
and Students)
We
have had a several parents and community members call concerned about students
walking to school being in the street and not utilizing the sidewalks on their
way to and from school. It is still very
dark in the morning and the roads have not been good with all the winter
weather we have been experiencing. If
your student is a walker to school or to the bus stop, please make sure you
have this conversation with them. We
want to make sure everyone gets to and from school safely.
