SJHS Students Participate in ArtsBridge Poetry Reading
Sophomores Emma Inman, Madeline Machado, and Eileen Spiegel read their original work at the ArtsBridge poetry reading, a public event held at First Presbyterian Church in Benton Harbor. They wowed the crowd with their insightful words and poised presentation. English teachers Jessica Sherburn, Bean Klusendorf, and retired SJHS teacher Pen Campbell also attended and read original poems. 


Veteran’s Breakfast
SJHS Student Senate will be hosting a Veteran’s Breakfast on Wednesday, November 8th beginning at 8am in the Student Center at the high school. Please join St. Joseph High School students in thanking our Veterans for their service with breakfast and entertainment. Veterans, family, and friends are welcome! GO Time
Parents and students – we are running GO Time sessions on Thursday’s for most of the school year.  Please note this time is for students to seek out additional help in classes, get work made up, or attend an enrichment session to build on their current understanding of content.  Parents we encourage you to speak with your student about what sessions they are attending on Thursday to make sure your student is getting the most out of this opportunity each and every week. 


Boys Tennis
Congratulations to the men's tennis team.  At the Division 2 Regional the Bear Netters advanced to the State Finals.  Ryan Okonski won the #2 singles flight.  Runner ups at their flights were Hudson Wellin at #3 singles and the doubles team of Dylan Olson and Trey Beauchamp.  The State Finals will be this Friday and Saturday at Kalamazoo College's Stowe Stadium.


SJHS Student Section in COLOR!
For their final regular season football game at Dickinson Stadium, the SJHS Student Section threw some color in the sky Friday night!
 



Hospitality Class
Andy Sawyer, owner of The Duncan House Bed and Breakfast downtown St. Joseph visited the Hospitality Class this week. He shared his knowledge of independent lodging operations and demonstrated their famous omelets.







Dr. Rama Ganesan from the Ethical Choices Program in Indiana came during GoTime to speak with the Foods & Nutrition and Health students. Rama has a great depth of knowledge about the relationship between food choices and human health. She informed the students about the impact of food choices.
