Please sign-up on the sheets posted to the window outside the attendance office if you are interested in running. Students will also need to pick up a gold signature sheet. All candidates must obtain 3 staff signatures in support of their candidacy. Signature sheets are due to Mrs. Wallace ( in room M705) by Friday, May 17th. Elections will occur Monday, May 20th.

Key Club:
On April 26 the St. Joseph High School Key Club hosted a prom for Senior Citizens at the Whitcomb Towers, a local retirement residence. Members, Vera Tikhonova and Simi Kaur chaired the project. The committee hired Wil and Marilyn Smaka to play music and provide the wooden dance floor.  They are part of a five-person band called MusiConnection.
The the was "Night at the Met Gala” and the committee chose to crown a king and queen who were celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.  The club provided refreshments, photos, and door prizes from Silver Beach Pizza, the Dime Store, Kilwins, Caffe Tosi, South Bend Chocolate Factory and Bigby Coffee.  President, Ashley Ke wrote a SJPS Foundation grant that helped fund portions of the event.

This project was such a success.  Students dropped all their inhibitions and got right out on the dance floor with the residents.

Tech Festival:

Camp Hope:
Weekend summer camp opportunity June 21st - June 23rd.
High School students - when is the last time you spent a whole weekend focused on mindfulness and mentally recharging in nature?
That is exactly what Camp Hope is meant to be - lots of fun outdoor activities (like canoeing, swimming, hiking, ropes course, hayride, rock climbing wall, archery) at Warner Camp, sleeping in cabins, stargazing by the campfire and time for mindfulness (yoga, meditation, journaling, crafts, music).
Cost is $50, but scholarships are available if the cost is prohibitive.
