for yearbook forms and senior ad forms.
1.Thank you for getting
your senior’s picture sent to in. All emails got a reply. If you still would
like to send a senior picture to the yearbook, contact Mrs. Hunter asap.
2.Don’t forget to purchase
a yearbook. Our publisher, Herff Jones, has been sending out email reminders.
Feel free to purchase online or on paper (form attached or in office).
3.SENIOR ADS ARE DUE BEFORE
SPRING BREAK: We’re bringing this tradition back, and the attached form gives
the details. It’s a way to personally honor your senior in the ad section of
the yearbook.

Dual
Credit Registration:
LMC Dual
Credit Registration Information for SPRING 2018:
Students
enrolled in classes that are eligible for Lake Michigan College Dual Credit
received information on December 6, 2017.
A
Lake Michigan College representative distributed the registration form and
guidelines in classrooms.
Registration deadline March 2, 2018
(exception: Athletic Training, Foods & Graphic Arts
Deadline was Feb 16, 2018).
Prerequisites and testing requirements must
be met prior to submitting the registration form to the Guidance Office.
See Guidelines info packet for details and for additional testing times
offered at SJHS (limited space available).
(Teacher signatures and test scores must be included with form.)

Chamber Orchestra:
Kathy
Zhang, Megan Guldan, Grace Richards, and Angela Chen will be competing on
Monday February 26, at the MASTA Chamber Orchestra Festival which is being held
in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. They will be competing with 10
other ensembles from around the state and receive coaching from members of the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Beach Pizza Give Back Night Monday March 5th dine in or carry out.
Key Club:
The
2018 Key Club District Convention in Kalamazoo, MI was a blast! 300+
Michigan high school Key Club members from 30 different high schools came
together to celebrate the service work they accomplished this year.
Awards are given to outstanding leaders at the club and state level
for their hard work and for exceptional individual club projects.
The
following AMAZING Key Clubbers participated in the Kids Against Hunger service
project and attended 6 different breakout sessions. These sessions covered
various topics from leadership skills, club organization, animal shelter event,
card making, fundraising techniques, K-Fam relations, and more.

Model United Nations
Team:
Congratulations
to the St. Joseph Model United Nations Team that competed in the Indiana
University Model UN Conference. There were over 400 delegates from all
over the Midwest in attendance in Bloomington Indiana this weekend. Particular accolades go to Simi Kaur and
Ashley Ke who beat 60 other delegates in their committee to win the top honors
of "Best Delegates".
