SJHS Blog 9-8-17
St. Joseph High School Blog
9/8/17
Welcome Back:
We are
excited to have everyone back! It has been a great week and great start here at
the HS. We got all of our busy work done
on Tuesday with students as they went through stations that morning getting
pictures, technology tips, schedules, homeroom information, and attended a
class meeting. Teachers are excited to
have students back in class! You can
plan to see weekly blogs coming out from me on Mondays for the remainder of the
year.
Best,
Mr.
Blomgren
Emergency Cards:
Parents
and students – Emergency information forms which were sent home in fall
newsletter need to be returned asap.
Students were to bring these with them to school the first day, if
students did not return them we will be contacting you to get this form
submitted. Please take initiative to get
this done for us, as this is very important for communication purposes as we
progress through the year.
Student Drivers:
Student
drivers must have parking permit to park in the student lot. Students may obtain parking permits from
Cathy Siemans, Attendance Secretary.
Cost is $10 for parking permit which is for entire career of student and
car at HS.
Student Dress Code:
Parents,
we are asking that you assist us to make sure students are properly dressed for
school. Please refer to the student
handbook and make sure we are sending students to school appropriately
dressed.
School drop off and pick up (School
Hours):
School
doors open at 6:45am. We recommend no
drop offs until 7:15am as we will then have enough staff in building for
supervision. Please remember we like
drop-offs to occur on the Lakeview Ave. side of the building as our buses and
student drivers are entering on the Stadium Dr. side of the building.
After
school, it is very important and we want to emphasize that students have
arranged transportation by 3:15pm. We
will be communicating with you if your students are in the building past 3:15,
unless they are with a supervised activity.
Dairy Corner Senior Night Fundraiser:
Attention All students/parents. On Tuesday the
Dairy Korner will be donating 10 Percent of all their proceeds to the senior
class. Dairy Korner Is close to closing so if you are craving ice cream go get
some on Tuesday, September 12th after school.
