Animal Control Field-Trip Highlights 4/28:
Graduation News: (Seniors)
A letter will be coming home this week sharing out
more information on graduation for all seniors and their parents. Please keep and eye out for this information
as it will outline many of the activities occurring over the next few weeks as
well as information on the big day, Graduation Sunday June 4th.
Teacher Appreciation Week:
This week is teacher appreciation week. Students and
parents take a minute and reach out to some of your current as well as past
teachers and say thanks!
Letter of Release Students (Important Info!!)
If you child is currently
attending St. Joseph High School on a letter of release, you will need to apply
for school of choice. A two-page
application is being sent home in the mail to you. Please fill out and return to the school no
later than May 19th. Failure
to do so may result in your student not able to attend St. Joseph Public
Schools.
Guidance Office News:
· Baccalaureate: Seniors interested in being part of the Baccalaureate
program, sign up
by May 26 in the counseling office. We need your name,
cell number and the type
of performance, reading, dance, etc. that you will
be doing. Performer practice is June 1 at 9:00 am in the auditorium,
followed by baccalaureate practice at 9:30 am.
· Seniors,
if you have received an academic scholarship from a college, an academic
institution, or organization to further your post-secondary pursuits, please
submit a copy of the letter or award to the counseling office by May 10.
We cannot guarantee your award will be published in
the Senior Academic Award program on May 22 if we do not receive your
information by May 10.
Athletes
– if you have received and award for your participation in any sport throughout
your high school career, you will want to stop by the Athletic office and see
Mr. Guzzo and Mrs. Werdann to make sure they have all your information so that
you can be honored at the Athletic Awards Program on May 22nd. Please stop by and check in with them right
away.
Academic Challenge Team:
The Academic Challenge Team competed in the
Michigan High School State Championship on the campus of Michigan State
University over the April 21 weekend and ended up with a 4-2. The team
competed in the Class “A” Bracket and finished in 5th place out of 18 teams.
The Quiz Kids recently won the WSJM League Tournament defeating archrival
Berrien Springs in the finals. The future looks bright for the Bears, as the
team will return all four starters for next year.

All School Play:
The
All School Play is here. Avoiding the Pitfalls of High School Dating
and Sillyheart are now onstage in the Howard Auditorium. Show
dates are Thursday, May 4 through Saturday, May 6 and all shows are at 7:00pm.
Tickets are $5 per person with open seating.
