Key Club News
The
Outstanding Key Club Senior for 2017 is Katelyn Fennell! Katelyn has attended
countless Key Club events this year. In fact, she has attended nearly
every event we have hosted this year!! Her leadership was invaluable as
she chaired the Thirst Project and co-chaired the Food Waste Program with Alex
Adent. She was the driver to the Soup Kitchen for the Food Waste program
and the program has been so successful that Upton started one too.
She worked the Pancake Breakfast this past Saturday and sold $60 worth of
pre-tickets! Thanks Katelyn for your dedication to Key Club, your
kindness, and generous giving of your time.
For
the past 10 years, the Key Club has hosted a Senior Prom for Seniors at the
Whitcomb downtown. This year was a wonderful success, thanks to the
committee and the chairs, Emma Marchel and Aashish Harikrishnan. They worked hard
getting door prizes (45 this year!), making decorations, and advertising. We
had a great group of Key Clubbers and Senior residents in attendance. We even
had a surprise visit from SJHS Key Club alum, Peter Chen.
