Key Club News:

The 2023 Key Club District Convention in Bay City, MI was a success!  This weekend 200 Michigan high school Key Club members from 28 different high schools came together to celebrate the service work they accomplished this year. Awards are given to outstanding leaders at the club and state level for their hard work and for exceptional individual club projects.

The Key Clubbers participated in breakout sessions that covered various topics from leadership skills, club organization, hands-on service projects, fundraising techniques, K-Fam relations, and the keynote speakers were former executive Key Club officers speaking on leadership and business success.

Our club is so appreciative of the ongoing support, direction, and enthusiasm of the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph Kiwanis Club! A HUGE thanks and acknowledgement to SJHS senior, Mei Mei Saggau Drotos, Events Chair, for all her work on making SLC a success.  The workshops and decorations were amazing!  Also, thank you to SJHS junior, Clara Berry, for serving as our Lieutenant Governor for Division 8 this past year.

State Elected Positions:

Our division is proud to announce that junior, Clara Berry, was elected as the 2023-24 MI DISTRICT GOVERNOR!

Amazingly, Clara will be the 4th Governor from SJHS in the last 15 years.

She is excited to continue the legacy of strong Governors from Division 8!

Our club brought home the following awards:

Major Emphasis Award - 3rd place for the New School for the Old School

Early Bird Dues Award - Thanks to Kiley Hayden
