Scheduling Classes for Next School Year: 

Students viewed a scheduling presentation during BEAR Time on 2/9 for the 2023-24 school year.  Take some time to discuss the Course Selection Form options with your student they brought home.  Please be mindful of the courses they select and refer to our Course Description Book and presentation for further information. 

DEADLINES:

FEB 13 – 21 – TEACHER RECOMMENDATION WEEK (during class)

FEB 17 - CTE APPLICATION, OFF CAMPUS (CTE courses not at SJHS) - New this year!

FEB 22 – MAR 3 – COURSE SELECTION ONLINE (Powerschool Registration, opens and closes at 3pm)

MAR 6 – COURSE SELECTION FORM DUE in Guidance Office (signed by parent/guardian)

Course Selection Forms (color coded by grade level) were handed out in BEAR Time meetings.  Absent students can pick up forms in the Guidance Office. To review the course description book or scheduling presentation see links below or find on the SJHS Guidance website:

Key Club: 

Key Club is partnering with other schools in our division (Bridgman and Lakeshore) to raise money for our District service project: environmental protection. All money raised will go towards the Ocean Conservancy. 





LSJ Hockey Update:

LSJ Varsity qualified to play in the ISHSHA 3A State Championship game! They competed in the State Tournament last weekend and after a tough OT loss Friday night they won 3 games in a row earning the chance to compete in the finals. They will play 3/4/23 @ 3pm vs The Bishop Noll Warriors at Swonder Ice Arena in Evansville, IN. 


Members from SJHS on the team are Andy Barlow (11), Wes Bennett (11), Owen Burgeson (10), Benny Carolla (10), Drew Sysko (10), Sam Hosbein (11), Rusty Klaer (10), Jones Rappette (10) and Jace Zimmerman (12).

Riley Biggins took 2nd Place 

Cole Lakin took 2nd Place


For JV:

Evan Wilkes took 1st Place

Elvin Vu took 3rd Place

Congratulations to  Anna Vi & Joe Catania for being recognized as our February Bears of the Month at SJHS! Winterfest Spirit Week: (Next Week!!) Weekend Food Program: Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Juengling started a weekend food program for 15 families at SJHS!  The food program is sponsored by a teacher and classroom each week.
