Key Club:

It has been another busy week for Key Club!  The week started with members volunteering to be face painters for the Berrien County Cancer Service Art Play Festival and raking leaves for senior citizens through the United Way!

And the week ended on Saturday with our club hosting the Michigan District of Key Club's fall service/leadership conference!  SJ Key Club hosted 260 members from across the state for a day full of meeting new people, attending leadership training sessions, and participating in service projects.  Our club has 2 members on the state of MI board, Mei Mei Saggau Drotos (Events Chair) and Clara Berry (Lieutenant Governor Division 8).  Mei Mei and Clara, along with the other board members have spent several months planning this state-wide event.  Thank you for your leadership!  Also, thanks to the SJ/BH Kiwanis members for flipping pancakes for lunch (pajama party was the theme) and to the SJHS members who helped with decorations and set-up.  We had 60 members from our division alone, including Lakeshore, Bridgman, and South Haven!  So proud of this group!

Parent/Teacher Conferences:

"Hidden in Plain Sight"

At last week's middle & high school Parent/Teacher Conferences, the Berrien County Health Department provided an opportunity to help parents learn to look for clues of where their kids could be hiding drugs and paraphernalia.
