STRIKE OUT CANCER EVENT

St. Joseph Invite, Saturday, May 7th

SJHS Baseball Fields

10am Start - SJ vs Dowagiac

Please see the t-shirt below that is available to purchase for $20 with a portion of the cost being donated to the Alex Mandarino Foundation. Sizes available are S-XXXL and the deadline for the t-shirt order is Wednesday, May 4th at noon. Please text Sara at 269.876.0443 or email asbarlow@comcast.net with size and quantity.

Also, Thursday and Friday at SJHS lunch and at the invite we will be selling K’s (K means strikeout in baseball) in honor of someone currently fighting cancer or in memory of someone who has passed. Each K will be $1 and you can write the name of the person you are honoring on it. We will hang these on the outside of the dugouts and around the concession stand on Saturday.

Finally, our Varsity players will be wearing purple wristbands (sweatbands) in honor of Mattox Williams and the battle he is currently fighting!

We are looking forward to an amazing day of baseball while raising some funds to help fight cancer. GO BEARS!

Senior After Graduation Party:

Don't forget to sign your senior up for the SJHS After Graduation party!  Immediately after graduation, the new graduates are whisked off to a party; this is the last time they will be together as a class until there first reunion.  Parents have been hard at work planning the graduation party, but our ability to fundraise has been severely limited due to uncertainty about Covid.  Now that we're certain the event will happen and know the fundraising restrictions we face, we're asking for a $50 admission fee per student.  Details are still being worked out--and kept as surprises for the students as much as possible--but students will be bused from the graduation ceremony to the event venue for a night full of fun activities, and then will need to be picked up (locally) at around 1 am.  We realize that some students will have trouble paying this fee, so we are also raising money for scholarships so everyone can attend.  If you are able to provide an additional donation to help pay for students who would be otherwise unable to attend, please do so.  If you think your graduating senior would like to attend but needs financial assistance, please contact their counselor in order to maintain their privacy.  To purchase an admission for your senior, or to donate to this event and help celebrate our graduating seniors, click here: https://sjschools.revtrak.net/st-joseph-high-school/senior-after-graduation-celebration/#/list.  This is a link to the SJPS account set aside for the Senior After Graduation Celebration Fund.  Please sign up by May 13!

In addition, students picked up their graduation cap & gown/graduation products last week from Jostens.  If your student was unable to pick theirs up, please have them stop by the Guidance Office.
