Senior Parents of 21st c. Literature and Writing Students:

Our Senior Service Project Symposium, a complete display of this year's service and passion projects, will be held on Tuesday, May 24th from 8:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. in the SJHS Field House.  Parents are invited to watch and celebrate our students’ Senior Service Project  and learning. Each poster presentation will highlight the project’s original objectives, the project’s process,  inquiry and research, and project outcomes. You're welcome to stop by briefly to watch your student in action or stay for the duration of the symposium and view other projects.

Any questions can be directed to Tracy Becker or Joyce Hunter, 21st Literature and Writing instructors and SSP coordinators. Congratulations, class of 2022!

Senior After Graduation Party:

Don't forget to sign your senior up for the SJHS After Graduation party!  Immediately after graduation, the new graduates are whisked off to a party; this is the last time they will be together as a class until there first reunion.  Parents have been hard at work planning the graduation party, but our ability to fundraise has been severely limited due to uncertainty about Covid.  Now that we're certain the event will happen and know the fundraising restrictions we face, we're asking for a $50 admission fee per student.  Details are still being worked out--and kept as surprises for the students as much as possible--but students will be bused from the graduation ceremony to the event venue for a night full of fun activities, and then will need to be picked up (locally) at around 1 am.  We realize that some students will have trouble paying this fee, so we are also raising money for scholarships so everyone can attend.  If you are able to provide an additional donation to help pay for students who would be otherwise unable to attend, please do so.  If you think your graduating senior would like to attend but needs financial assistance, please contact their counselor in order to maintain their privacy.  To purchase an admission for your senior, or to donate to this event and help celebrate our graduating seniors, click here: https://sjschools.revtrak.net/st-joseph-high-school/senior-after-graduation-celebration/#/list.  This is a link to the SJPS account set aside for the Senior After Graduation Celebration Fund.  Please sign up by May 13!

Parents/Guardians of Class of 2022:

Your student had their final class meeting at SJHS on 4/28.  They received information pertaining to end of year events and graduation.  For planning purposes please see the End of Year Events link below AND make sure you ask your senior to share their packet with you (especially because 8 rain tickets were included and additional tickets will not be available to hand out).

In addition, students picked up their graduation cap & gown/graduation products last week from Jostens.  If your student was unable to pick theirs up, please have them stop by the Guidance Office.
