Halloween Hallway Decorating
We are bringing back Halloween Hallway decorating this year! Here is what you need to know:
Hallway assignments:
Seniors - English Hallway
Juniors - Social Studies Hallway
Sophomores - Math Hallway
Freshmen - Science Hallway
Most decorating will happen on Sunday, October 24th from 2 to 4 pm.
Decorating can continue throughout the week as needed.
Judging will occur at noon on Friday, October 29th.
Each grade will be given some basic supplies to start. Beyond these supplies, students may
purchase their own decorations or borrow items from home that can be returned at the end of
the week.

Hospitality/Management Class News:
It was another exciting week in Hospitality Management class! The students prepared delicious desserts
for the Superintendent's Circle celebration and also enjoyed a tour of Holiday Inn Express. Thank you,
Amy Heugel, for showing us around and talking with the class about business ownership.

FAFSA Help:
GET HELP COMPLETING & SUBMITTING YOUR FAFSA!!
SJHS counseling department will be offering a free FAFSA completion session for seniors and their parents.
Financial aid experts from Lake Michigan College will be available to help with FAFSA completion.
The session will be offered on Tuesday, October 26 from 5:30-7:00pm in the SJHS media center computer lab
(arriving by 6:30 pm is encouraged)
Students and their parents should bring the following:
2020 Tax Return for both the student and parents
All 2020 W-2 forms for both student and parents (if they did not file taxes)
You will need a FSA ID for both student and parent:

SAT/ACT Prep:
Dear Parents (and Students),
NOW is the perfect opportunity to start (or continue) training for the ACT and SAT. I cannot
emphasize enough how critical it is to prepare for these exams. Colleges accept BOTH tests, so
there are two keys to unlock the same door when it comes to college admission and college
scholarship $.
I wanted to inform you that Dr. Carlin of drcarlinstestprep.com will be offering his popular SAT
Prep Course (w/ ACT Supplement) at St. Joseph High School beginning WED November 10 at
6:30 p.m. EST (Media Center). This is a 3-session, 7.5-hour course (see details below).
