St. Joseph High School News
2/1/21 - 2/5/21
Upton Middle School News:
With the sad news of Mr. Leonard’s passing, it has come to our attention from talking with our students
throughout the day that Mr. Leonard had a Wednesday tradition. He would always wear orange to
school on Wednesdays and this day became known as “Orange Wednesday”. So, our students proposed
an idea and we are encouraging students and staff, both at Upton and the HS, that wish to honor Mr.
Leonard to wear orange to school tomorrow. The students and staff have responded remarkably well to
this tragic loss to our school community and I expect we will see a sea of orange tomorrow in our
buildings tomorrow.
Picture Retake Day:
Is scheduled for this Thurs. 2/4 from 7:45am to 10:00. Students will be called down to the Performing
Arts lobby by grade for picture retakes. Here is the link to order: http://www.geskusphoto.com/?A=3714
Technology News:
Attention Parents: Please help your student with technology success at SJHS by working through the
checklist in THIS DOCUMENT. As a reminder, all students are expected to bring a working and
charged device to school each day. New Chromebooks are available for checkout in the SJHS media
center. There is no rental fee this year. If your student does decide to check out a Chromebook, you
may want to consider paying a $20 optional damage insurance fee, but this is not required for checking
out a device. More information can be found HERE. Thank you for helping your student succeed
second semester!
