Encourage your student to join us for this lunchtime opportunity.
What better way to learn if a job meets your likes/dislikes than to hear about what it's really like day to day and what qualifications are needed.  We are inviting local business men & women to join us on various Thursdays to talk about their profession and how they got to where they are today. This opportunity is available to ALL students.
This week we look forward to our time with Steve Neubecker of St. Joseph Public Safety.  He will talk to the students about a career in law enforcement and opportunities for advancement.  He will also have a demonstration for students of a typical traffic stop (someone being pulled over) to help them know how to handle that type of situation.
Also, a big thank you to Guy Miller, Epidemiologist with Berrien County Health Department for joining us on 2/21.  We had a great turn out and his presentation was very informative!

Ren Baldwin Student Tech Fest:
The 2019 Ren Baldwin Student Technology Festival is now accepting entries.  Submit a technology project by April 15th for a chance to win an iPad, cash prizes, and more!  To access the high school entry form visit this link: https://goo.gl/forms/HAJuZVReX40nQitb2

Interact Club:
There has been a lot of excitement in Interact Club that we would like to share!

The St. Joseph Interact Club organized two visits to the soup kitchen in Benton Harbor. During these events, SJHS students volunteered and contributed to the various needs of the facility.

The St. Joseph Interact Club would like to recognize Noah Brent (Interact Director) and Cameron Haynes, (Rotary Student Program Participant) who were mentioned in the Rotary eWheel. Noah Brent, a senior at St. Joseph High School, is now a Greeter and holds Sergeant-at-Arms duties for the Rotary Club. Cameron Haynes, also a senior at SJHS, presented and shared his interest in Physics to the Club.
Congratulations to these two gentlemen!

We would also like to acknowledge Grant Huie, a director for St. Joseph’s Interact Club. Over the past several months, Grant has been relentlessly working on constructing an app for our club to use––this will make organization and communication much easier. We are thrilled to announce that Grant has completed this task and recently released the app “ClubView” onto the app store. He put numerous hours into this project and his hard work is appreciated by the leadership team and members of the club.

College Game Night tickets are also available for purchase through Interact. Please contact president, Reilly Igoe for details. (269-929-0374)

All-Night Grad Party

What is the All Night Grad Party?
Each year the St. Joseph High School senior parents plan an all-night celebration that will immediately follow commencement.  The after-graduation celebration allows students a safe environment to celebrate their graduation together.

When and where is the All Night Grad Party?
It begins right after graduation on Sunday, June 2nd.  Students will board buses at the High School following commencement.  Chartered buses will transport graduates to Chicago where they will begin their celebration at Dave and Busters with food, games and a hypnotist.  From there, there they will be transported to Navy Pier where they will board a chartered moonlight cruise with food and dancing. (Please make sure graduates dress for the weather - outerwear recommended).  Students will then be transported back to SJHS at approximately 6 am.  We strongly suggest parents pick up their graduate since they will have been up all night.

What is included in the party?
Transportation to Dave and Busters, hypnotist, Moonlight Cruise, food and fun!

What is the cost?
The cost of the all-night party is $100 per graduate.  This event is open to all 2019 SJPS graduating seniors.  Scholarships are available to students in need.
Questions?  Interested in helping out?  Check out the High School blog for more information.

PLEASE NOTE!

All graduates items will be checked before boarding the bus.  NO BACKPACKS OR CINCH SACKS PERMITTED.  Contents of belongings cannot exceed a quart size sealable bag.  Graduates may not leave any items on the bus.
