Join Interact Club!
Interact Club is a Rotary sponsored service club, and members are committed to making
a difference not only in our community, but internationally as well.
In spite of COVID-19, Interact Club has already held several successful Community
Service events this school year, starting with the late summer activities of the Jean Klock
Park Beach Clean Up and the Rotary Adopt-A-Highway, both led by Community Service
Director Regan Igoe.
Upcoming events include Gardening at Krasl where members will donate their time at
the Krasl Art Institute next Sunday, October 25th.
Learn more and sign up at https://www.sjhsinteractclub.com
The deadline for Membership Applications is October 31 with a $15 membership fee
should be left with Interact Club Faculty Liaison/SJHS Guidance Counselor, Amy Peterson.
This club will offer wonderful volunteer opportunities for SJHS students.
NHS Tutoring:
We are excited to announce that National Honor Society tutoring will be starting up in-
person after school on Tuesday Oct 20th and continuing through the school year. We will
be offering free after school tutoring every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at SJHS
from 2:45-3:45pm. We will be socially distant and will have one-on-one tutoring for
anyone who needs a little extra help. We will meet in the student center and everyone will
wear masks and face shields (shields will be provided, students need to wear their own
masks).
We are also working on a system for requesting virtual tutoring and will get information out
as soon as we work out the details. Virtual tutoring will be on a reservation basis and in-
person tutoring is walk in, no reservations necessary.
Feel free to stop by the Student Center after school any Tuesday, Wednesday or
Thursday. Students should check in with Ms Nic for purposes of contact tracing and tutor
assignment.
Hope to see you soon!

Junior and Senior Parents:
Do you have College Questions? This year college reps are hosting virtual college
visits. Talk to your student about locating dates on the Google Form under their
Google Classroom or the Guidance website. Even if you missed the visit date, Reps
love hearing from our students and have communicated they are more than happy to
set up individual virtual meetings.
Students can locate Rep Name and Email at:
https://sjschools.org/guidance/college-information-guidance/college-rep-visits
Child Development Class:
The Child Development students paired up with Mrs. Mutschler’s Kindergarten class at Lincoln
Elementary. Here, we are singing “Itsy Bitsy Spider” together!
Just thought I would share some fun things happening in our class!

If you are interested in attending on October 21 at the High School, it's required by our CTE
