SAT Testing: 

Due to the fact that our Seniors missed the opportunity to take the SAT last spring because of Covid, the

State of Michigan is requiring us to provide an opportunity for all of our Seniors to take the test onsite.

We have scheduled this Wed., Oct. 14th as that date.  Seniors will need to arrive at 7:30am and report

directly to the competition gym where they will take the SAT test from approx. 7:30am to 1pm, once

they finish the SAT they will be released for the remainder of the day.  Seniors NOT taking the exam

will NOT report to school on that day! 



SJHS Homecoming 2020!

Students will vote on the 2020 Homecoming Court this Tuesday. Our

Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime of the football

game on Friday!

 

 

 


Spirit Week Fun: 


SJHS Spirit Week was a SUCCESS!

Parents of Juniors and Seniors:

Do you have College Questions? This year college reps are hosting virtual college visits.  Talk to your student about locating dates on the Google Form under their Google Classroom or the Guidance website.  Even if you missed the visit date, Reps love hearing from our students and have communicated they are more than happy to set up individual virtual meetings.

Wellness Checks:

Parents and students - please make sure students are doing their wellness, self assessment check each

morning before coming to school.  We want to continue to recommend that if you are not feeling 100%

that you stay home, get well, and work remotely so we can continue to maintain a healthy and safe

school setting for everyone!

Yearbook 2020 update:

The 2019-2020 yearbook has been delivered to current 10th-12th graders as of Friday, Oct. 2. If you

ordered a book and did not get one delivered, please contact jhunter@sjschools.org. Extras are available

to purchase for $70. 

 

Virtual students: purchased books will be available during your picture day this week.

St. Joseph High School News 1/13/20 - 1/17/20 Bears of the Month: (January) Congratulations to  Sophia Kurtz & Zach Kreiner for being recognized as our January Bears of the Month at SJHS! Semester Exams: Exam Schedule:  Wed. 1/22 (1st and 2nd Hour), Thurs. 1/23 (3rd and 4th Hour), Fri. 1/24 (5th and 6th Hour) Baseball:  The St. Joseph High School Baseball Program held a two day camp this past weekend for elementary age students in the high school fieldhouse.  Head Coach Josh Mandarino and his staff gave individual instruction over the basic baseball skills of running, throwing, fielding, and hitting in a fun setting.  Current high school JV & Varsity players assisted with the clinic. Each camper received a Bear Baseball Camp T-Shirt. The kids had fun with the great game of baseball!  High school players are reminded tryouts start in March and each athlete needs a gold card before they can participate.  St. Joseph High School News 2/8/21 - 2/12/21 Orange Wednesday : Honoring Mr. Leonard This past Wednesday, our students wanted to honor Mr. Leonard, long-time Upton Middle School Teacher, who passed away last week.  As the story goes, Mr. Leonard had a long standing tradition of wearing orange on Wednesday’s to school.  Based on the picture we were able to get of our students as they left school last Wednesday, Mr. Leonard left a lasting impression on so many of our students!  Mr. Leonard will be dearly missed by our St. Joseph school community.
