Band News:
Two
of our very own SJHS students participated in the MSBOA District VI All Star
Band on Sat. Nov. 18th.
Congratulations
and a job well done to Emma Marchel (Principal Percussionist, 12th grade) and
Jacob Maynard (Oboe, 9th grade) who performed Saturday in the MSBOA District VI
All Star Band. The All Star Band, composed of 86 students selected from 17
schools across District VI, rehearsed together for approximately 12 hours over
the course of last week and performed 5 pieces on Saturday at Paw Paw High
School. It was an excellent performance and a wonderful opportunity for our
students. A big thanks to Mr. Engleman who supported Emma's and Jacob's
audition and assisted with the All Star band's rehearsals.
