Academic Challenge Team:
The Academic Challenge team traveled to Holland on Saturday to compete in the Holland Invitational Tournament and won the tournament for the second straight year.  The Bear Quiz Kids dominated the field and ended the day with a perfect 9-0 record.  The field consisted of 13 schools and a total of 24 teams.  The Bears sent two varsity teams and 1 JV team to the event and all represented their school and community with class and great sportsmanship.  The tournament win qualified the Bears to compete in the Michigan Class “A”  State Tournament on the campus of MSU in the spring.

The WSJM Southwestern Michigan Quiz Bowl Season started last week and the Bears started with a bang and defeated their arch rival Berrien Springs by a score of 285-80.  The Bears are the defending champs.  The team is coached by Social Studies teacher Gary Etter.
