Senior Career Day – April 12th
Reminder:  All Seniors are reporting to one of sixteen career sites on Tuesday morning for the Senior Career Day.  Teacher Chaperones have been assigned to all locations and students are expected to write a one-page reflection paper, which is due by April 26.   We hope your student finds this career exploration opportunity valuable.

Orchestra News
The Chamber Orchestra will perform in an encore performance of Carmina Burana at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac this Friday, April 15th at 7:30pm. If you missed the first concert, you should check this out - it's an amazing collaboration between several area choirs and orchestras. Free admission!

Ren Baldwin Technology Festival

Robotics Update
At the Kentwood Robotics Event -March 31-April 2:

Average Joes were #1 seed after all Preliminary Matches.

During the Finals Tournament the Average Joes were knocked out in the Semi-Finals.

The Average Joes won the Entrepreneurship Award at the event for their team Business Plan.

The team, currently ranked 15th out of 411, will be participating in the Michigan State Championship April 13-16, 2016, at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids, MI.

Quiz Bowl Team
Quiz Bowl Team qualified for state and will participate in the State Quiz Bowl Tournament this weekend on the campus of MSU.

Senior Graduation Speech Tryouts:
Graduation is not too far off, and it’s time to start thinking about giving a speech at the graduation ceremony. The 2-4 minute speech should address the entire student body experience at SJHS. 

Tryouts are Wednesday, April 20 at 2:50 pm in Mrs. Hunters Room (room 235).  You must turn your typed speech in to Mrs. Koch by Thursday, April 14.  Pick up information from Mrs. Koch in the Guidance Office.

Congratulations to  Anna Vi & Joe Catania for being recognized as our February Bears of the Month at SJHS! Winterfest Spirit Week: (Next Week!!) Weekend Food Program: Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Juengling started a weekend food program for 15 families at SJHS!  The food program is sponsored by a teacher and classroom each week. Within the first 2 weeks of the program the remainder of the school year had been scheduled and accounted for by a teacher and their students.  Wow! And Awesome!  SJHS Student Section:  The student section at the Girls and Boys basketball game the past Friday night brought their own version of ESPN to SJHS!!  Very fun and cool!  Literary Magazine News:  St. Joseph High School's 2019 literary magazine , revive has been selected to receive the rank of REALM First Class (the highest honor)

St. Joseph High School News 10/29/18 - 11/2/18 Bears of the Month: Congratulations to Nadia Judge and Noah Hayden for being recognized as our November Bears of the Month at SJHS!!! Veterans Breakfast 2018! SJHS Student Senate will be hosting a Veterans Breakfast on Wednesday, November 7th beginning at 8am in the Student Center at the high school.
