Key Club
The 2016 Key Club District Convention in Traverse City, MI was amazing!  400+ Michigan high school Key Club members from 46 different high schools came together to celebrate the service work they accomplished this year.   Awards are given to outstanding leaders at the club and state level for their hard work and for exceptional individual club projects.

The following AMAZING Key Clubbers participated in the Kids Against Hunger service project and attended 6 different breakout sessions. These sessions covered various topics from leadership skills, club organization, animal shelter event, plan mat making, fund raising techniques, and more.

Special thanks to Gabby Hardy (SLC Chair) who helped plan and organize this event for nearly an entire year!

Also, Sahana Harikrishnan was retired as the 2015-16 District Governor.  She was a wonderful leader for the State of Michigan Key Clubbers and we are so proud!

AP Testing
AP testing will be the weeks of May 2-6 and May 9-13. Each exam costs $92, with a non-refundable $15 deposit.
Registration and payment will begin Feb. 29 and close March 28. Any test ordered after March 28 will incur a $55 late fee. 
Additional information has gone home with all students who are currently in AP classes at the high school.

First Robotics District Competition Results
The “Average Joes”, St. Joseph’s Robotics team had an outstanding showing this past weekend finishing in 1st Place in the District Competition!  The event was hosted right here at St. Joseph High School and over 40 teams competed this past weekend!  Congratulations to Mr. Vroegop, the Robotics Team, and all of the volunteers that have contributed to the Average Joes this year. 

Next up for the Average Joes is another district competition in Kentwood Apr. 1st and 2nd.

Science Olympiad – Congratulations on 1st Place Finish
The High School Science Olympiad team earned First Place overall at the Regional Competition!  Congratulations to Kelly Kietzerow and the Science Olympiad team Members.

The Regional Science Olympiad competition was held the past week at Lake Michigan College.

Congratulations to  Anna Vi & Joe Catania for being recognized as our February Bears of the Month at SJHS! Winterfest Spirit Week: (Next Week!!) Weekend Food Program: Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Juengling started a weekend food program for 15 families at SJHS!  The food program is sponsored by a teacher and classroom each week. Within the first 2 weeks of the program the remainder of the school year had been scheduled and accounted for by a teacher and their students.  Wow! Veterans Breakfast 2018! SJHS Student Senate will be hosting a Veterans Breakfast on Wednesday, November 7th beginning at 8am in the Student Center at the high school.
