SJHS Place High at the Kendall Art Day Scholarship Competition, March 19, 2016

Art Day is an opportunity for high school students to compete for Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) tuition scholarships. This is how it works...by 10am students drop off 3 of their best works to be juried. This year there were 119 students who entered–competing for 20 awards. 

Joseph Mead won 1st place and Charlie Beam placed 4th place. Both students have earned near full tuition scholarships to Kendall School of Art and Design for their high achieving efforts. Congrats!!

We are pleased to announce that the following students From Saint Joseph High School have earned national recognition in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2016. Ehren White has earned a Silver Medal and an American Visions Award, Joseph Mead has earned two National Silver Medals and Charlie Beam earned a National Silver Medal.  These students have been identified by panels of creative professionals as the most talented young artists and writers in the nation. This year, nearly 320,000 works of art and writing were submitted. Only the top 1% were recognized at the national level. These students have been invited to attend a ceremony at the world-famous Carnegie Hall on Thursday, June 2.

Congratulations to  Anna Vi & Joe Catania for being recognized as our February Bears of the Month at SJHS! Winterfest Spirit Week: (Next Week!!) Weekend Food Program: Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Juengling started a weekend food program for 15 families at SJHS!  The food program is sponsored by a teacher and classroom each week. Within the first 2 weeks of the program the remainder of the school year had been scheduled and accounted for by a teacher and their students.  Wow! And Awesome!  SJHS Student Section:  The student section at the Girls and Boys basketball game the past Friday night brought their own version of ESPN to SJHS!!  Very fun and cool!  Literary Magazine News:  St. Joseph High School's 2019 literary magazine , revive has been selected to receive the rank of REALM First Class (the highest honor)

St. Joseph High School News 10/29/18 - 11/2/18 Bears of the Month: Congratulations to Nadia Judge and Noah Hayden for being recognized as our November Bears of the Month at SJHS!!! Veterans Breakfast 2018! SJHS Student Senate will be hosting a Veterans Breakfast on Wednesday, November 7th beginning at 8am in the Student Center at the high school. Please join St. Joseph High School students in thanking our Veterans for their service with breakfast and entertainment. Veterans, family, and friends are welcome!
