Bears of the Month:

December Bears of the Month!

Congratulations to Jerry Capaccio & Alana Voglewede for being recognized as our December Bears of the Month at SJHS!

Congratulations to Dr. Culver and Mrs. Becker:

Thanks to a generous SJPS Foundation grant, Tracy Becker and Jamie Culver had the opportunity to present at the National Council of Teachers of English 2022 Annual Convention Thursday, November 17th in Anaheim, CA.

Media Center News:

We believe that a love of books and learning is a strong foundation for student success and we are

working to provide every student access to books that they want to read.

By completing the form linked here, parents will restrict the level of access their teenager has when

choosing a library book from the SJHS Media Center.  To clarify, this form is only required when a

parent would like to restrict their teenager’s access to library books. Please complete one form per

student. To search for book titles and call numbers, parents and students may access our Destiny library

system from home.

Hospitality Management Class:

If you have ever wondered about the beautiful white barn on Glenlord Rd, the Hospitality Management students can help! The class had an amazing field trip last week to Etre Farms, the all-inclusive, modern wedding venue. Our tour was hosted by Taylor Hollis: Bar Manager & Event Coordinator, Morgan Newman: Director of Operations & lead event coordinator, and Nicole VanLente: Owner & lead event designer.  Nicole shared her vision for the space and how it came to be.  They shared all the details of what their space has to offer and the all-inclusive services.  The class was wowed by the beauty - they set a gorgeous service for 100 guests so we could see what the dining room would look like on a wedding day.  Thank you so much Etre Farms for going above and beyond to welcome us!
