St. Joseph High School News
First Week Recap:
It’s been a great first week having the students back in the building.
Students are doing a great job adjusting and working back into a school routine!
Parents, take a minute to sit down with your student and familiarize yourself with the new
Chromebooks and google classroom as this will be the device students will use at SJHS and
google classroom will continue to serve as the main communication link for students and parents
with our teachers. I am very proud of the student body and staff for getting us off to a great start
with the school year!

Senior Launch Week - Josten’s Information:
Back to School Night:
Parents, we would like to invite you to attend our Back to School Night on Monday 9/13.
You will have the opportunity to walk your student’s schedule, meet your student’s teachers,
and get to know what a day at SJHS looks like for you kiddos! The evening will begin promptly
at 6:30pm with first period class. Feel free to arrive anytime after 6pm to pick up a building map
and find your 1st hour class. We do ask that you login into your student’s powerschool and take
a picture of their schedule to have on your phone or bring a handwritten copy of the schedule to
follow for the evening. Each class will be 9 minutes long and will conclude at approximately 8pm.
Please bring your own mask as they are required for all indoor events. Thanks!

Student Senate - Freshmen
Freshmen Student Senate Representative Elections:
Attention 9th graders: if you are interested in running for student senate representative sign-up on the
sheet posted by the attendance office before next Wednesday. Elections will be held via your
Class of 2025 Google Classroom page on Wednesday, September 15th. The first meeting for elected
representatives will be Thursday, September 16th at 7am in Mrs. Wallace’s room - M705.

Average Joe’s - Robotics Update:
After a year and a half hiatus from face to face competitions, the Average Joes masked up and headed
to Grand Rapids Devos Hall to compete with and against 13 other Michigan teams at the Advanced
Manufacturing Expo. The Joes took 1st place after 24 matches.
