Wellness Checks:  Covid Reminder

Students and Parents,

Please make sure you are doing your self wellness checks each morning before you come to school.

If you have any symptoms, we would encourage you to stay home as a precautionary measure.

Our expectations as a school community have not changed since the beginning of the year and

we want to continue to promote the use of all PPE measures to ensure a safe school environment each

and every day.  With the recent positive news with the vaccine and loosening of restrictions by

Governor Whitmer, now is not the time to let our guard down.  Let’s each continue to do our part so

we can keep students coming to school in a face to face capacity!

Best,

Mr. Blomgren

Bears of the Month:

March Bears of the Month!

Congratulations to Levi Beam & Sylvia Park for being recognized as our March Bears of the Month

at SJHS!

All School Play:

Good news for the All School Play! Principal Blomgren and myself have determined that we CAN still have a

version of our Annual Play. It will be different from what we have done in the past and will be doing some very

unique things virtually and in limiting face to face meetings to keep with all the required protocols of masking

and safe distancing.

We are targeting Seniors this year for a Virtual Play about how COVID-19 has affected your Senior year and

it will be open to ALL Seniors, not just those who want to be on screen. Our Juniors, Sophomores and

Freshmen will still have a chance to be involved as well.

So……. The first step is, we are having an organizational ZOOM meeting to discuss what we are doing, how

we will set up our timeline and how YOU can be a part of it. This meeting is open to your parents as well, so,

feel free to share the link with them. This will be a very unique opportunity for us to share something of our

own making that will be available to the entire school and the community. The date and time for the

Zoom meeting will be Tuesday, March 9 at 7:30pm. The link for the meeting is:

I am looking forward to “seeing” all of you soon – Scott Bradford, Director”

Student Summer Job Opportunity:

Employment Opportunity for high school age students:

Are you looking to make some cash this spring and summer.  The St. Joseph Youth Baseball

and Softball organizations are in need of umpires for our upcoming season.  Good pay, no weekends,

games are played in May and June. If you feel you would be a good umpire for baseball or softball

go see Mr. Church to sign up.

Guidance Office News:

GUIDANCE NEWS

PERSEVERANCE is our theme for March

From the Huffington Post -What it means to never give up … it really means ““believing in yourself. It means willingness to accept “failure” so you

can learn the critical skill of adaptation. It means not compromising on your most important

values, and walking the walk, rather than just talking the talk.”

“Energy and persistence conquer all things.” — Benjamin Franklin
