Berrien County Early/Middle College: Sophomores!!
Attention 10th grade students!  Do you want to get a head start on college and in life by earning substantial credit for FREE, while you’re still in high school?  You can by applying to be a part of the Berrien County 5th Year Early/Middle College program! Tuition, books, and fees are provided at no cost to students and families.
How does it work?  Basically, you will earn substantial college credit up to an associate degree or a career certificate by taking college classes during your 11th and 12th grades of high school.  You will then attend college full-time during “grade 13” in your 5th year of high school.

Hospitality Management Class:
The Hospitality Management Class had the opportunity to meet GFS Culinary Support Specialist,
Megan (Garstecki) Punches last week.  Chef Punches is a SJHS Alum and has degrees in Culinary
Management, Nutrition, and Baking + Pastry. She shared with the students her career journey that
brought her to her current job at GFS.  The students were also able to experience a "cutting" or blind
