Vape Awareness Week:  1/7-1/11
Vaping has become a major concern for all schools and teenagers, an epidemic as described by health officials.

Our guidance department has taken the lead on this at SJHS and created a Vape Awareness week for students and staff to participate in.  I am including the links and information the counselors have put together for students and staff and am sharing with you.

Semester Exams:
Parents - semester exams are quickly approaching.  We have 11 school days left until exams take place on Jan. 23rd, 24th, and 25th.  Preparation and review for exams a little bit at a time can go along way in getting your student ready for exams.  


Key Club:
The Key Club officers and Hospitality Management students paired up to host the SJ/BH Kiwanis Club lunch meeting the week before holiday break.  The Key Club officers presented on the club's activities of the year while the HOS students served chicken fajitas, lime cilantro rice, avocado salsa, and Mexican cuisine inspired desserts.


Key Club members from St. Joe and Lakeshore made Christmas cookies that they delivered to local police and fire departments the week before holiday break.  Thanks Erin Maddix, our Key Club Lieutenant Governor, for organizing this event.

Sock Drive Results:
Thanks to all who contributed to the sock drive - your donations will definitely be appreciated!!  In total, the HS will be donating 451 pairs of socks to the emergency shelter! Thanks to Key Club for facilitating!  
With Upton's donations of 763 socks & toiletries, the SJ schools will be able to donate over 1200 items to those in need!!

St. Joseph High School News 2/3/20 - 2/7/20 February Bears of the Month:  February Bears of the Month! Congratulations to  Anna Vi & Joe Catania for being recognized as our February Bears of the Month at SJHS! Winterfest Spirit Week: (Next Week!!) Weekend Food Program: Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Juengling started a weekend food program for 15 families at SJHS!  The food program is sponsored by a teacher and classroom each week. Within the first 2 weeks of the program the remainder of the school year had been scheduled and accounted for by a teacher and their students.  Wow! And Awesome!  SJHS Student Section:  The student section at the Girls and Boys basketball game the past Friday night brought their own version of ESPN to SJHS!!  Very fun and cool!  Literary Magazine News:  St. Joseph High School's 2019 literary magazine , revive has been selected to receive the rank of REALM First Class (the highest honor)

St. Joseph High School News 10/29/18 - 11/2/18 Bears of the Month: Congratulations to Nadia Judge and Noah Hayden for being recognized as our November Bears of the Month at SJHS!!! Veterans Breakfast 2018! SJHS Student Senate will be hosting a Veterans Breakfast on Wednesday, November 7th beginning at 8am in the Student Center at the high school. Please join St. Joseph High School students in thanking our Veterans for their service with breakfast and entertainment. Veterans, family, and friends are welcome!
