Guidance Office News:
  • Attention Seniors: A reminder that your cap and gown and graduation products order form needs to be turned into a Josten's rep during lunch on Thursday, Dec. 6. If you missed the class meeting Nov. 29 there are extra order form packets in the Guidance Office. It is extremely important that you do not miss this deadline!

  • Seniors: Lake Michigan College will be raffling off general LMC scholarships worth $250 during the St. Joe vs. Lakeshore basketball game on Friday, December 7th at Lakeshore.  You must sign up prior to halftime to be eligible. Sign up sheet in Guidance Office or at the LMC table prior to halftime of the Men's Varsity Basketball Game.

  • There is an upcoming film documentary viewing of Angst a week on Tuesday, December 4 from 6:30-8pm at Lakeshore High School Auditorium.  This free film offers an important look into anxiety and the impact it has on teens and families and is open to anyone ages 10+.   According to recent national studies, 80% of people believe anxiety is on the rise. There will be other guests there that will speak about anxiety as well.  To see a preview, Watch the Angst Trailer.


Interact Club News:
Interact Club Members interested in attending the July 13-20, 2019 trip to the
Dominican Republic should sign up by December 6. Applications are online at
signed up, earned 12 points and deposited $350 with Maria Kibler at Edgewater Bank
by the due date. The remainder of the $1200 cost of the trip ($850), will be due late
winter/early spring. For questions, see International Director Alicia Kusaka or contact

SJHS Media Center News:
💻   Students may still submit to the logo contest for the Ren Baldwin Student
Technology Festival 2019.  Please check out the complete contest details: Tech Fest
Logo Contest.  Entries are due this Tuesday, December 4, and winners will receive a
$50 gift card from Best Buy.  

📚  Thank you for supporting the SJHS Media Center at the Book Fair last week!


SJHS Football News:
St. Joseph Football program serving their community.  The St. Joseph Football
program had the opportunity to donate over 900 gallons of water to Benton Harbor
Area Schools.  The water donation will help BHAS with their cooking needs as they
wait for water testing results to come back.



Congratulations to St. Joseph Bear Football player Antonio Buhrfiend for being named
All State Specialists by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association.

St. Joseph High School News 2/3/20 - 2/7/20 February Bears of the Month:  February Bears of the Month! Congratulations to  Anna Vi & Joe Catania for being recognized as our February Bears of the Month at SJHS! Winterfest Spirit Week: (Next Week!!) Weekend Food Program: Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Juengling started a weekend food program for 15 families at SJHS!  The food program is sponsored by a teacher and classroom each week. Within the first 2 weeks of the program the remainder of the school year had been scheduled and accounted for by a teacher and their students.  Wow! And Awesome!  SJHS Student Section:  The student section at the Girls and Boys basketball game the past Friday night brought their own version of ESPN to SJHS!!  Very fun and cool!  Literary Magazine News:  St. Joseph High School's 2019 literary magazine , revive has been selected to receive the rank of REALM First Class (the highest honor)
