Culinary News: 

A special thanks to Colleen Froehlich, owner of Froehlich's Bakery in Three Oaks for coming to the Culinary classroom this week.  The students learned about her journey through the industry that brought her to open Froehlichs, how her time in Italy inspired some of her favorite dishes, and continues to fuel her passion for all things culinary!  She demonstrated her pizza dough and famous cinnamon rolls for us too.  It was a truly special guest speaker experience for the students!

Robotics Information: 

St. Joe Robotics is now having sign-ups for the 2021-2022 seasons. Whether or not you were able to attend the Robotics Expo last weekend, check out the EXPO website with all of the pertinent information and the link to sign up. Teams are available for students in K-12th grade.

We are ready for the 2021-2022 sports season!

We are once again using online forms through PlanetHS (Now called STUDENT CENTRAL).  This year Upton Middle School will join us in online registration.  All paperwork for sports registration should be completed through this website.

CONGRATULATIONS

to our men's 4 x 100m Track Relay Team of Eli Zarotney, Trey McGinnis, Cole Toney, and Preston Nichols who are STATE CHAMPS with a time of 42.65!  Way to go BEARS!

AWESOME JOB BEARS!

 

Congratulations to our Lady Bears Soccer team who beat Lakeshore in the District Final 1-0!  They will play for the Regional title on Friday at 6pm at Vicksburg; their opponent is Marshall HS.

 

Congratulations to our Lady Bears Softball team who beat Portage Northern 7-5 in the District Final.  They head to Regionals on Saturday at noon, located at Grand Ledge HS; their opponent is East Kentwood HS.

The 2021 St. Joe Golf Classic, the  only fundraiser the SJHS Athletic Department holds, is on the calendar for Monday, June 28th.  Information regarding registration and sponsorship packages can be found at this web address:  https://sjschools.revtrak.net/community-events/#/list   We hope you'll join us for this fun event!

St. Joseph High School News 1/13/20 - 1/17/20 Bears of the Month: (January) Congratulations to  Sophia Kurtz & Zach Kreiner for being recognized as our January Bears of the Month at SJHS! Semester Exams: Exam Schedule:  Wed. 1/22 (1st and 2nd Hour), Thurs. 1/23 (3rd and 4th Hour), Fri. 1/24 (5th and 6th Hour) Baseball:  The St. Joseph High School Baseball Program held a two day camp this past weekend for elementary age students in the high school fieldhouse.  Head Coach Josh Mandarino and his staff gave individual instruction over the basic baseball skills of running, throwing, fielding, and hitting in a fun setting.  Current high school JV & Varsity players assisted with the clinic. Each camper received a Bear Baseball Camp T-Shirt. The kids had fun with the great game of baseball!  High school players are reminded tryouts start in March and each athlete needs a gold card before they can participate.  St. Joseph High School News 2/8/21 - 2/12/21 Orange Wednesday : Honoring Mr. Leonard This past Wednesday, our students wanted to honor Mr. Leonard, long-time Upton Middle School Teacher, who passed away last week.  As the story goes, Mr. Leonard had a long standing tradition of wearing orange on Wednesday’s to school.  Based on the picture we were able to get of our students as they left school last Wednesday, Mr. Leonard left a lasting impression on so many of our students!  Mr. Leonard will be dearly missed by our St. Joseph school community.
