Seniors:  Graduation and Baccalaureate Rehearsal

Baccalaureate Practice   (We encourage all students to participate)
All students wishing to attend Baccalaureate should meet in the auditorium on Thurs. May 31, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.  Students must attend rehearsal in order to participate in Baccalaureate on June 3, 2018.  Students must bring and wear graduation caps and gowns for rehearsal.  We will practice the processional and the recessional.  Performers need to meet at 9:00 a.m. for run through practice.

Graduation Practice  (All students must participate!)
Graduation practice will take place on Thurs. May 31, 2018.  All seniors need to report by 10:15 a.m. to the Auditorium lobby for graduation rehearsal.  Students must bring graduation caps and gowns for rehearsal.  We will provide Silver Beach Pizza at the school for lunch and we will transport by bus to Shadowland Pavilion for graduation rehearsal.  If unable to attend because of conflict then arrangements must be made with Mr. Blomgren.

All Seniors must bring caps and gowns to rehearsal for practice.

Graduation Set Up – HELP PLEASE!
We need help setting up chairs for Graduation at Shadowland Pavilion.  We have 2600 chairs to set up and the more volunteers and helpers we get the easier this task will be.

We are planning to start set up at 8:30am Sunday morning.  As you come down to the pavilion to help with set up just let the parking attendant know you are there to help with Graduation set up and they will let you into the lot.

We will have donuts, coffee, and juice for the volunteers.  If we get a good turn out of helpers we should be done in about an hour.

Thanks
Mr. Blomgren

Graduation Parking:
Parking at Silver Beach is free to graduation attendees.  The park staff will run a tally of vehicles entering the park and St. Joseph Public Schools will pay the parking fees.  Parking passes will be available in the high school office.  You will need to place the pass on your front dashboard so it is easy for park staff to see.  This pass does not guarantee a parking space, but will help assist with tallying the number of cars. Parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  It is anticipated the parking lots at Silver Beach will fill for the ceremony.  It is recommended you arrive prior to 5:00 p.m. to acquire a parking spot.  An annual park permit does not guarantee a parking spot.  Public parking is available at numerous parking lots in the city and on nearby streets.  You are welcome to drop off your guests near the park Gatehouse and immediately exit to find nearby parking.  All park exits will be open to facilitate an organized exit of the event.  We recommend you plan well in advance to find parking and get to the pavilion.  It will be difficult to exit following the ceremony at the pavilion, thus parking up top at the bluff and walking down to the pavilion may be a very good option.

Based off of our experience last year, it took quite a bit of time to exit the lots close to the pavilion, thus we recommend if you can park up on the bluff and walk down to Graduation it will be much easier at the conclusion of the ceremony for you to leave.

Graduation and Seating for Handicapped:
Parking spaces for handicapped individuals will be available for attendees with a handicap-parking permit.  A designated seating area for handicapped will be provided.  Please contact the high school office if you will need a handicap parking space to receive additional information on parking location.
