Choirs at Festival:
(Congratulations!!)
Some
highlights:
7th
and 8th graders sight-read advanced, and were the only middle school choir to
do so in the whole region. Even though they were singing at a much higher level
they got perfect scores in each example for rhythm and pitch!
Concert
Choir received a perfect performance score. This has never happened to us! One
of the judges said that one of our songs was the best rendition she'd heard and
also wrote that our program is one of the best she's heard in the state. They
also sight read advanced for the first time and it was SO hard, but they really
wanted to do it and they pulled it off!
All
choirs composed themselves so well, were so respectful of other performers and
quiet in the hallways. I was especially proud of the 6th graders who have had
some rough moments this year being an enormous group with some big
personalities. They were so well behaved.
You
should be so proud of SJPS choir students, I know I am. Please congratulate
them if you see any of them. They deserve it!
LMC College Visit:

junior or senior interested in attending a college visit to Lake Michigan
College on Friday, March 16th can sign up in the Guidance
