Senior All-Night Party:
Get
On The Bus….We’re Cruising to Chicago!
Parents of the
Class of 2017,
Plans are under way
for the annual Senior All-Night Party that immediately follows the graduation
ceremony. As in years past, we will
spend our night at Navy Pier. While at Navy
Pier, we will have time to ride the Ferris wheel, see an amazing hypnotist
show, and board a cruise ship for 2 hours to play games, eat and dance the
night away, all while sailing along the Chicago Skyline. Students will return to the high school at 6:00
am.
We can provide all
this to our students for $75 for the entire evening!!! This includes meals, charter buses, hypnotist
show, cruising, dancing, and a night they will never forget!
Our committee has
many fundraisers already planned to cover the remaining cost. We have the following dates scheduled so far,
so please help us spread the word!
· Tuesday, February 7 – Silver Beach Pizza – All Day
· Tuesday – February 22 – Fire & Ice – 5:00-8:00
· Thursday – April 13, 2017 – Lakehouse By Cravings – All
Day
To reserve your
student’s spot, please return the enclosed form along with a check made payable
to SJPS and write SANP in the memo section.
We realize the cost
may be prohibitive for some and want EVERYONE to be able to attend. If you are able to donate extra money towards
a scholarship, we would greatly appreciate it.
If you are in need of a scholarship for your student or have any
questions, please contact your counselor or Martha Schultz-Johanski at maschultzsj@gmail.com. Senior All-Night

Student Opportunity: The
Hospitality and Tourism Job Fair and Talent Showcase
The Hospitality and Tourism Job Fair and Talent Showcase hosted by Lake Michigan
College and Kinexus will be held on March 27 from 2-6 pm at the Mendel Center.
This event is being held in response to our employer partners need for
good seasonal help and to assist placing our students and area youth in jobs,
whether it’s their first time in the workplace, career exploration or a step
towards their chosen career path.
We will have Student Support Services, My Way There, door prizes for
students and employers, a tour of our wine making facility and mini break-out
sessions on interviewing and self-promotion and other resources there to help.
We will be showcasing the hospitality and culinary talents of our LMC, Berrien
RESA and Van Buren ISD students.
Please encourage students, staff,
kids, grandkids, friends and neighbors to attendant share the attached flyer
with them.
It contains some great tips for attending a career fair.
Anyone living here or coming back to the area for the summer is
welcome and this event is free for attendees.
15-year-olds will need a current work permit.
